What is Trauma Therapy?
EMDR, Flash Technique, Sand Tray Therapy, Art Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) are all trauma processing approaches that we use to help the brain and body work through distressing experiences in ways that feel grounded, supportive, and effective.

These therapies access the parts of the brain where emotional memories are stored — especially the ones that feel “stuck” or hard to make sense of through words alone. Using methods like eye movements, imagery, creative expression, and trauma-sensitive cognitive restructuring, they offer a safe way to process painful experiences and reconnect with your internal sense of safety, strength, and identity.
Our Specialty Areas
Everyone’s experience of trauma is different, and so is the way it shows up in daily life. Whether the impact is felt through anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, physical tension, or a lingering sense of disconnection, these therapies are designed to meet you where you are. By working gently with the brain, body, and emotions, trauma processing therapies can help you move toward relief, clarity, and a greater sense of wholeness.
