Skills-based therapies help clients build concrete tools for managing emotions, changing unhelpful behaviors, and making meaningful life choices. These approaches are present-focused and action-oriented, offering structure and support while you practice new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding to life’s challenges.

What is Skills-Based Therapy?

We use a range of evidence-based therapies — including Integrative Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing — to help clients build skills that actually work in day-to-day life. Whether you're learning how to set boundaries, cope with anxiety, reduce avoidance, or sit with difficult emotions, these therapies focus on what’s doable, sustainable, and tailored to your needs.

Skills-based approaches are flexible and client-centered. We often combine them with insight-oriented or trauma processing therapies to meet you where you are — whether you're just getting started or need something to ground you in moments of overwhelm.
