Emily Berk, BA, MSW (candidate)
Intern Therapist, OCD Specialist | (she/her)
I know how exhausting it is to live in a mind that won’t let you rest—always questioning, always scanning, always on high alert. It can feel isolating, even terrifying at times. But I want you to know that what you're going through makes sense, and you're not broken. You’re a human with a very loud alarm system, and there is a way forward. You don’t have to face it all alone.

Specialty: Anxiety & OCD Teens
Having OCD as a teen can feel like living with a brain that just won’t shut up about grades, friendships, how you look, what you said five minutes ago, or whether you're a “bad person” for thinking something weird. While everyone else seems to be figuring life out or having fun, you're stuck battling a mind full of doubt and “what ifs.” You might be spending hours overthinking, hiding rituals, or avoiding things that used to be easy. And I get it. It’s exhausting, embarrassing, and sometimes terrifying. My role isn’t to lecture or label you. It’s to help you understand what’s happening in your brain and show you that you’re not broken or weird. You’re just dealing with something real and treatable. We’ll work together to take the power back from OCD so you can actually enjoy life again—school, friends, sports, music, memes, whatever makes you feel like you.
Specialty: Anxiety & OCD Adults
OCD in adulthood can feel incredibly isolating. Whether you've been quietly battling intrusive thoughts for years, or this all hit you out of nowhere, it can feel like you're trapped in a mental loop no one else can see. Maybe you're the go-to person at work, the dependable parent, the thoughtful partner—and yet inside, you're managing a constant storm of doubt, fear, and compulsive “what-ifs.” I work with adults to help them recognize that OCD isn’t a reflection of who they are—it’s a glitch in how their brain processes uncertainty. Together, we create a space that’s compassionate and real, where you can face the fears your mind throws at you, without needing to obey them. You don’t have to keep hiding it or fighting it alone. There is a way through.
